Design Thinking for HR

Creativity and innovation make businesses  and organizations relevant in the world  today. Design thinking is an emerging problem solving process that puts creativity into action. It uses a human approach that relies on your ability to be intuitive, to interpret what you observe and to develop ideas that are emotionally meaningful to those you are designing for. When applied in the context of HR, it involves having an in-depth understanding of people for whom solutions are being designed and consistently engage them in the process so as to come up with innovative ideas

to enhance their workplace experiences. 

This blended earning program on Design Thinking is designed specifically for HR practitioners and teams. As Design thinking is both a mindset and a process, the workshop will make the participants feel empowered to become more creative in coming up with innovative ideas, confident in decision making, and more collaborative as they address challenges within the organization impacting employee experiences.

• Recognize the importance of shifting from process-centric to people experience-centric HR services
• Define and describe Design Thinking in the context of HR
• Identify the tools used across the different phases of Design Thinking
• Participate in an ideation session to see how Design Thinking tools can be used to develop human centered solutions
• Use insights to develop prototypes of identified solutions
• Present prototypes and gather feedback to iterate and enhance innovative solutions

Marby Tabungar is the Founder and Lead Consultant of Prevo, a leader in human-centered Design and Innovation for People Development and Management in the Philippines.

She has over 15 years of experience in the field of HR Innovation and Transformation.

An alumna of Australia Awards Scholarship, she took Entrepreneurship and Innovation as part of her Masters in Human Resource Management from the University of Newcastle in Australia. She works across different sectors to design innovative solutions to address organizational challenges. She spearheaded many digital learning transformations and capacity building programs in various areas such as talent development, youth employment, and healthcare. She also served as the Digital Learning Chairperson for the Philippine Society for Talent Development and a Digital Master Trainer Certification Facilitator.
